Residents invited to stand along route
Dutchess and Putnam are each planning to organize a “convoy” of vehicles for Memorial Day (Monday, May 25).
Residents are asked to gather in small groups and show their support along the route by hanging U.S. flags or painting and drawing flags in their windows or on driveways.

Main Street in Poughkeepsie to Route 9
South from Poughkeepsie to Route 9D (right just past Shoppes at South Hills)

Route 82 from Fishkill to East Fishkill taking 376 into Hopewell Junction
Beekman Road from Hopewell Junction to Beekman

Route 22/343/44 to from Pawling through Dover/Amenia and to Millerton
Route 199 to Pine Plains and Milan to Red Hook
Route 9 to Poughkeepsie, through Rhinebeck and Hyde Park
The Putnam convoy, organized by the Joint Veterans Council, will depart at 1 p.m. from Carmel and pass by each town and village hall. Residents are invited to stand on their front lawns as the convoy passes, or to join with vehicles decorated with flags and other patriotic paraphernalia.
