This past weekend marked peak foliage in the Hudson Valley, drawing hundreds of visitors to destinations like Cold Spring and Beacon.

On Saturday (Oct. 24), The Current spoke with visitors in Cold Spring about how they found the village, what they did on their day trips and how they navigated transportation and crowds (below).

The weekend offered more than vibrant orange and red leaves, with the Cold Spring Halloween Parade and Hops on the Hudson’s Modern Makers Market adding to the festivities.

Many visitors traveled from Manhattan and New Jersey. While some were overwhelmed by limited parking and crowded trains, others were simply happy to escape the city for a day of scenic views and small-town charm.
