St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Cold Spring on Sunday, Sept. 17, held a carnival to raise funds for operations. Organized by Tara Sweet-Flagler, it included inflatable slides, bounce houses, a visit from the Cold Spring Fire Department, face painting, “fishing” for smaller children, ponies from the Topfield Equestrian Center, colored sand art and a food truck. As the event was going on, an anonymous donor contributed $20,000.
