
Angelina Alicea (1929-2017)
Angelina Alicea, 88, of Beacon, died November 28, 2017.
She was born March 12, 1929, in Barceloneta, Puerto Rico, the daughter of Segundo Alicea and Maria Roman. She married Gilberto Rosado, who died before her.
Angelina is survived by her children, Migdalia Victoria (Luis), Margarita Rosado (Miguel Perez) and Angel Rosado; her grandchildren, Thomas, Omar and Wilberto Victoria and Deyanira and Elimaris Perez; and her great-grandchildren, Keanu Victoria and Paris Moore.
Friends may call on Dec. 4 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Libby Funeral Home, 55 Teller Ave., in Beacon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 31 Willow St., in Beacon, with interment to follow at St. Joachim’s Cemetery.

Lorraine Lucas (1927-2017)
Georgia “Lorraine” Lucas, 90, a longtime resident of Beacon, died on Nov. 28, 2017, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, surrounded by her loved ones.
Born Sept. 18, 1927, in Beacon, she was the daughter of Cheney and Nellie (Townsend) Aldrich.
On May 25, 1947, in Beacon, she married Edward A. Lucas, who survives at home.
She is also survived by her daughter, Marlene Cole (Douglas); her son, Stephen Lucas; her grandchildren Kyle and Rhiannon Lucas, Shelby and Joseph Day, Andrew Lucas, Glen Pavelock and Jonathan Lucas and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Dec. 1 at 10:30 a.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, 1089 Main St., in Fishkill, followed by burial at Fishkill Rural Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Dutchess County SPCA (dcspca.org).
Ernie Malouf (1945-2017)
Ernest V. Malouf Jr., 72, a lifelong resident of Beacon, died Nov. 20, 2017, at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh.
Born Jan. 11, 1945, in Beacon, Ernie was the son of Ernest V. and Evelyn (Ford) Malouf. He served in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1967.
Ernie enjoyed his career at Central Hudson Gas and Electric as a lineman for 36 years until his retirement in 2004. He was a 50-year member of the Beacon Engine Co. and served as commissioner and vice president of Dutchess Junction Fire Department. He also was an active member of the St. Rocco Society.
A skilled woodworker and lover of the outdoors, Ernie enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. He created furniture and treasures that will be shared throughout generations and had the distinction of growing some of the hottest peppers in Beacon. Being a fine cook, he kept some of the Lebanese and Italian recipes of his family alive and well for years.
On Oct. 5, 1968, Ernie married Linda Lapis, who survives at home. He is also survived by his children, Jill Malouf of Albany and Patrick Malouf of Beacon; his granddaughter, Isabella Malouf Waldman of Albany; his sister, Sandra Piccone (Dominick) of Wappingers Falls; and a cousin, Dick Malouf of Glenham.
