Boscobel does July 4th the traditional way, with a picnic, hot dogs, live music and fireworks, but the backyard gives way to their spectacular expanse of lawn and Hudson River vistas. The party will take place on the day, Monday, July 4, from 7 to 9 p.m.  Poughkeepsie’s 20-piece jazz orchestra, The Big Band Sound will perform favorite patriotic tunes, fresh grilled food will be available for purchase by Inn Credible Caterers from Chalet On The Hudson, and weather permitting, there will be one of the best views of the West Point Band’s fireworks display in the area.
Picnics, blankets and chairs are welcome. Rain date is July 11, same time. Gates open at 6 p.m. for picnicking. Adults $16, Senior $14, Children (6-14) $9, Children under 6 are free. Friends of Boscobel adults are $14. For more information, visit Boscobel.org or call 845-265-3638.
