The Garrison Union Free School has announced that, effective Monday morning (Sept. 19) the Garrison Firehouse will no longer be used as an emergency bus stop location.  Superintendent Gloria Colucci reports that improvements to certain  roads allow many (but not all) bus stops to be back in service for the Monday morning bus routes.
New emergency bus stop locations have been put in place for families residing on roads that remain impassable for school buses.  Colucci reminds parents that bus stop times are estimated and that students shoulb be at their bus stop 5 to 10 minutes before  scheduled pick up times.
The regular school bus routes for high school and Garrison students and the new emergency bus stop locations are available on the Garrison School homepage.  The new arrangements will remain in effect until the remaining roads concerns have been resolved.  All updates will be reported on the school’s website.
