Extreme Clutter Program at the Desmond-Fish Library

Madeleine DeNitto of Stressed, Pressed, Messed will present a free program entitled “Extreme Clutter: The Risks of Compulsive Hoarding” on Thursday, Sept. 22 at 6:30 p.m.  The program discusses preventative measures to avoid the risks of severe hoarding by understanding the psychology behind this behavior. Attendees will learn important facts and statistics, understand the risks and determine the differences between collecting and hoarding tendencies.
      
DeNitto will speak about general organizing topics, and the most challenging areas of chronic disorganization:obsessive compulsive hoarding and over-shopping.  She is active with both the Institute for Challenging Disorganization, and the National Association of Professional Organizers.
