Metro-North Train Derails in the Bronx

A Metro-North train from Poughkeepsie derailed along the Hudson River in the Bronx early Sunday morning. Five of seven cars jumped tracks. Deaths and multiple injuries have been reported.

Metropolitan Transportation Authority has posted a Hudson Line service alert: Hudson Line service is temporarily suspended between Croton Harmon and Grand Central due to a derailed train in the vicinity of Spuyten Duyvil. Bus service is being arranged from Tarrytown Station. Hudson Line customers will be able to take a train to Tarrytown, where bus service will be provided to White Plains Station on the Harlem Line.
