Genevieve A. Talarico, age 83, a lifelong Cold Spring resident, died on Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at New York Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital in Cortlandt Manor. Born in Cold Spring on Nov. 11, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Dominick and Angelina (Elia) Talarico.

Talarico started her career as a nurse at Castle Point V.A. Hospital and retired as an administrator in 1993. She was a lifelong parishioner of Our Lady of Loretto Church, part of the Philipstown Seniors and was very active in the Graymoor community helping those in need.

Survivors include two sisters, Helen R. Carufe of Cold Spring and Flora L. LeMay of Cornwall on Hudson. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Pre-deceasing her where three brothers, Anthony J. Talarico, Dominick J. Talarico and Joseph P. Talarico, and a sister, Mary T. Hearney.

Private cremation has taken place at Ferncliff Crematory in Hartsdale. A memorial mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 14, at Our Lady of Loretto Church, 24 Fair St. in Cold Spring.
