Reel inspections and screenings set for Nov. 7

The Center for Home Movies has organized a Home Movie Day with events around the world. In Beacon, on Saturday, Nov. 7, drop off your home movie reels (8mm and 16mm film only) for inspection and evaluation by John Froats, who organizes monthly 16mm screenings at Dogwood Bar & Restaurant, and then stick around for projections.

The event takes place from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Beacon Community Resource Center at 23 W. Center Street. For more information, email [email protected]. The Center for Home Movies (centerforhomemovies.org), based in Baltimore, held its first Home Movie Day in 2003.
