Metro-North will begin restoring service at the outlying terminal stations after noon and be fully operationally in and out of Grand Central Terminal by 3 p.m., operating on a Sunday schedule.

MTA bus service suspended in New York City at noon; virtually all flight operations cancelled at LaGuardia & JFK Airports; New Yorkers urged to avoid any unnecessary travel on roads or mass transit.

The Adam Trent show at Ike Hall at West Point will go on at 8 p.m.; however, Trent has added a second show on Sunday, Jan. 24, at 1 p.m. and tickets for tonight’s show also will be honored then, as well.

All state parks in Putnam County will reopen by noon.

  • Find the Spy Game for Teens at Butterfield Library scheduled for Jan. 23 postponed to February 6.
  • Garrison School Forest “Think and Drink” scheduled for Jan. 23 has been postponed to 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 24
  • The service for Mort Williams at St. Philip’s Church in Garrison has been rescheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 24.
  • The Butterfield Library in Cold Spring will be closed on Jan. 23.
  • The Desmond-Fish Library in Garrison will be closed on Jan. 23. The library board meeting has been postponed until Jan. 24.

Beacon

  • RiverWinds Gallery’s iPhoneography Workshop and Artist’s Talk scheduled for Jan. 23 postponed until Jan. 30.
  • The author’s talk on Riker’s Island at Binnacle Books scheduled for Jan. 23 has been postponed.
  • Crafting program at Howland Public Library scheduled for Jan. 23 postponed to Jan. 30.
  • “C’mon Beacon Let’s Dance” set for Jan. 23 at the Howland Cultural Center has been canceled.
  • The Howland Library closed at noon on Jan. 23.

Cornwall

  • The Full-Moon Snowshoe Hike scheduled for Jan. 23 has been canceled.
  • The Wildlife Education Center will be closed on Jan. 23.
