Set for April 29; damaged tree will be replaced

The Village of Cold Spring will mark its second annual Arbor Day ceremony on Arbor Day, Friday, April 29, at 5 p.m. at the site of a newly planted tree in front of 126 Main St. donated by Ray DiFrancesco of Whistling Willie’s. The tree will replace one that was killed last year by a hit-and-run driver.

With the help of local scouts, Main Street will be festively decorated. A brief reading will mark the occasion and  informational brochures about the village tree inventory will be distributed. Members of the Tree Advisory Board will be on hand to answer questions about village tree work.
