Institute hosts retreat for legal profession

The Garrison Institute will host Mindful Lawyering, a meditation retreat for law students and professionals, from May 5 to 8. The four-day, three-night retreat is open to practicing lawyers, judges, law teachers and students and three units of MCLE credit is available.

Participants will engage in extended silent meditation, including sitting meditation, qi gong and walking meditation. They will also hear presentations by lawyers who have incorporated the values and practices of mindfulness into their work, and participate in group discussions looking at the mindfulness and law.
