HVCCA hosts students from Cold Spring school
Students from the Manitou School in Cold Spring worked with artists Elisa Pritzker, Jinsu Han and Orly Cogan at the Hudson Valley Center for Contemporary Art in Peekskill during a recently completed “minimester” in which they studied the arts through observation and Socratic reasoning.
The students also studied the artwork of environmentalist Todd Murphy and Peter Bynum, who uses glass, light, sound and acrylic paint.
At the conclusion of the series, students led tours for their families and shared their own art in an exhibition at HVCCA.
