Children and their adults built Lego islands on March 9 at the Desmond-Fish Public Library. Some constructed a Jurassic-Park-style island, some a “pet” island, some a shark-tank island. Later each team was told there had been a sudden catastrophe: How would they change their island in response? An award was presented for creativity, skill and how a team handled the change. Tall and Small Lego Day is held every other month at the Garrison library, and there is a Lego Dream and Design group each Monday at 3:30 p.m.
