Nancianne Horan, 67, died May 24.
She was born Oct. 19, 1957, the daughter of Helen and Salvatore Philip Mattracion. She was a fan of Halloween and shared a birthday with Michael Myers. Nancianne was a kid at heart, the life of the party and a natural-born hype woman, her family said. She had a favorite saying — “In their defense” — always standing up for people.
She is survived by her children: Amber Long (Tom), Courtney Ciancanelli (Paul), Kaitlin Morse (Robert), Peter Horan (Casey) and Hope Horan (Lamarr); her grandchildren: Ty, Jordyn, Tess, Seamus, Zachary, Noah and Riley; and her sister, her sister, Maryann Loncto (Mark). Her brothers, Phillip Mattracion and Ralph Mattracion, died earlier.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Evangelist Church in Beacon at 10 a.m. on May 31, followed by a graveside service at St. Joachim’s Cemetery. In memory of Nancianne, consider doing something kind for someone else or telling a loved one, “You’ve got this,” as Nancianne would have.
