The Beacon City Council will hold a public hearing, its fourth overall, on Oct. 17 on the potential rezoning of seven properties in the city’s linkage zone. The current proposal would rezone two South Avenue properties to medium-density residential, two parcels on Wolcott Avenue to low-density residential and the three lots known together as Parcel L to medium-density (multi-family) residential. All seven had been part of the high-density linkage district.

The Council will also hold hearings that night on potential parking changes on Beekman Street and Van Nydeck Avenue, as well as regulations regarding the installation and maintenance of water meters.
