Gloria M. O’Dell, 79, of Wappingers Falls, died June 11 at her home, with family members at her side.

She was born Jan. 10, 1945, in Plattsburgh, the daughter of John and Vivian (Murray) Smith. Gloria worked as a teaching assistant for the Haldane Central School District in Cold Spring. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

On June 17, 1961, she married Clarence O’Dell.

Along with her husband, Gloria is survived by her children, Jerry O’Dell (Shawn) of Nelsonville, Teresa Loncaric (Chris) of Northampton, Pennsylvania, and Steven O’Dell (Marylou) of Wappingers Falls; her grandchildren, Keli-anne Leonardo (Todd) of Hopewell Junction, Nicole Desposito (Jesse) of Wappingers Falls, Derek O’Dell (Julia) of Alfred, Kaitlin Sandt (Keith) of Easton, Pennsylvania, Jeremy Rickey (Dakota) of Northampton, Pennsylvania, Ryan Rickey (Brittany) of Northampton and Lauren Santrello (James) of Fishkill; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be private.
