Advisory says snow likely Saturday (Feb. 15)

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm advisory for the lower Hudson Valley for Saturday afternoon, with up to 5 inches of snow expected, as well as ice that may make roads hazardous. The snow will change to freezing rain on Saturday evening and rain overnight, it said. For more information, see our Storm Updates Page.

The NWS has issued a winter storm advisory for the lower Hudson Valley.

In Beacon, after 2 inches of snow, vehicles cannot be parked on the street between the hours of 9 p.m. and 7 a.m. and must not obstruct city snowplows. Vehicles can be moved to city’s public parking lots but must be moved 24 hours after the snow stops. In addition, property owners must clear adjacent sidewalks within 24 hours of the snowfall ending without throwing snow into the road.

In Cold Spring, there will be no parking on select village streets (Academy, B, Church, Furnace, Haldane, Locust, Market, Rock and Stone) from 3 p.m. on Saturday until 3 p.m. Sunday. There is also no parking on all village streets from midnight Saturday until 6 a.m. Sunday.

The Village of Nelsonville said Friday (Feb. 14) that street parking will be banned, including on Main Street, from Saturday at noon to Sunday at 6 a.m. Winter parking spots are available on Adams Avenue and in the North Pearl Street lot.
