The Howland Chamber Circle held an “instrument petting zoo” on Sept. 9 at the Howland Cultural Center in Beacon. After the children examined the instruments, which included violins and a cello, acoustic guitar, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, flute, clarinet, xylophone and piano, adults played them briefly to demonstrate their sounds.
