Sweep Lake Monsters in title series
The Hudson Valley Renegades, the minor league baseball club that plays at Dutchess County Stadium, won the New York-Penn League Championship on Sept. 14 by sweeping the Vermont Lake Monsters in a best-of-three series.

The Class A Short Season team also won the title in 1999 and 2012.
The Renegades held the Lake Monsters to one hit in Burlington to win, 6-0. On Sept. 13, they took the first game in the series, 3-2, at home in 13 innings.
