Private burial took place in Cold Spring Cemetery on Jan. 26, 2018, for John E. Grimmer, of Cold Spring. A celebration and memory of his life was held on Jan. 27 at St. Mary’s Church in Cold Spring.

Ingeborg Beate Klietz, 81, of Poughkeepsie and formerly of Cold Spring, died Jan. 29, 2018, at her home. She lived in Cold Spring from 1975 to 1999.

Born in Hausen, West Germany, on Oct. 2, 1936, she was the daughter of Otto and Emilie (Sopp) Stock. She immigrated to the U.S. in 1956 and on Feb. 16, 1957, in Yonkers, married Walter Werner Klietz Sr. He died in 2005.

Inge was a homemaker who enjoyed being with her grandchildren, reading, baking, cooking and knitting. She could often be found putting together a jigsaw puzzle.

She is survived by her children, Roland Klietz (Dorine) of Waxhaw, North Carolina; Walter Klietz of Poughkeepsie; and Heidi Loiodice (Michael) of LaGrangeville. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Michael, Samantha, and Katie Klietz; Kyle and Katrina Klietz; and Ryan, Nicole, Emily, and Jack Loiodice; and her siblings Erich, Brunhilde, Joe and Juwinda.

Friends are invited to call at the Clinton Funeral Home in Cold Spring on Feb. 1 from 5 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held Feb. 2 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
