St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Cold Spring began the month of May with five new eucharistic ministers. The parish installed the quintet during a service last weekend, with Father Shane Scott-Hamblen, the rector, presiding. They join three other ministers in performing such tasks as bearing the chalice during communion, bringing the communion bread to shut-ins, and helping out with other liturgical activities. Four of the five are (L-R) Ruth Eisenhower, Charles Hustis, Celia Karac, and Ralph Arce, with Father Scott-Hamblen (center left) and Thom Harrington, parish verger (center right). The other new minister, Mark Jacobs, is not shown.
