Artist application deadline extended to July 1

The Beacon Historical Society has put a call out for original artwork created on hat cutouts for an upcoming exhibit, Hats Off to the Beacon Historical Society, which will run in October and November at the Howland Cultural Center and Beacon Bath & Bubble on Main St. The theme is in homage to Beacon’s 100-year history in the hatmaking industry, from the Civil War through the 1960s.

The society will provide the cutouts, and the hats will be auctioned to benefit the Historical Society. For an application to participate, email [email protected] or visit beaconhistorical.org. The application deadline is Wednesday, June 15 Friday, July 1, and cutouts can be picked up at Beacon Bath & Bubble starting in mid-July. Completed hats are due October 1.
