Work will continue through week of May 20

Through the week of May 20, the Beacon Water Department will be performing annual maintenance of water mains by flushing fire hydrants on weekdays, the city announced last week.

The city said residents in impacted areas may experience periods of discolored water and should refrain from doing laundry until the water runs clear. If your water is discolored, run the cold water taps until the water runs clear. If you have any questions, call the Water Department at 845-831-3136.
