A new biography by Don Keith and David Rocco, The Indestructible Man, examines the life of Navy Commodore Dixie Kiefer, one of six men who died in a crash on Mount Beacon in 1945.

Kiefer was executive officer of the carrier USS Yorktown at the battles of the Coral Sea and Midway and skipper of the USS Ticonderoga when it came under attack by Japanese kamikaze planes. The book is available at Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
