The Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) raised over $13,000 at its annual 5K Run & Walk with the Dogs on May 19 in Beacon. The race drew a record 225 participants, plus 13 children for an inaugural 1K fun run, and 70 dogs, all assisted by 45 volunteers. The top human finishers were Otto Vogrincic (19:04) and Krista Kowalczyk (20:05), both of Beacon.
