Surf and Turf Adventures paid a visit to Philipstown

Surf and Turf Adventures paid a visit to Philipstown on Aug. 11. The Montvale, New Jersey day camp is staffed by professional, N.J. certified teachers.

After exploring Cold Spring and Constitution Marsh, more than 40, nine-to-fifteen-year-old Surf and Turfers cooled off in the waters beneath Indian Brook Falls then headed to Fahnestock State Park for the afternoon.

Reena Napolitano, one of the camp’s educators, said they make the trip to Philipstown each summer. Surf and Turf offers summer activities that include hiking, swimming, biking, tubing, rowing, climbing and overnight excursions. Summer must be starting to wind down. Philipstown was the camp’s next-to-last adventure for 2011. The program closes on Aug. 12.
