Lindy Labriola was the winner and Bayley Semple received an honorable mention in the Voice of Democracy Audio-Essay Competition . The Voice of Democracy competition is sponsored by the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars (VFW) and is open to students in grades 9-12. The 2011-2012 theme is “Is There Pride in Serving in Our Military?” The VFW posts judge the entries on originality, content and delivery. Click the links below to read the essays.
