Ex-girlfriend called police

After a complaint from a Nelsonville woman, the Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith has announced the arrest of Jesse Mason on charges of criminal trespass in the second degree.  The arrest at Mason’s place of work came after the woman called police from a locked bathroom saying that Mason, her ex-boyfriend, had entered her home and refused to leave.  Mason was gone when police arrived.  He was arraigned in the Town of Putnam Valley Justice Court and released on his own recognizance pending a future appearance in Nelsonville Justice Court. He faces up to a year in jail and a fine up to $1,000.
