Theo Ganz Studio has announced an exhibition of paintings by Sunok Chun entitled Convergence.  Chun has continued to refine her vision since her graduate days at Pratt Institute. Her studio in Brooklyn is filled with the exuberant and colorful canvasses of her earlier period in addition to the pared-down, almost monochromatic recent series of the last year or so. The common link is the geometric portal and temple.

This exhibit focuses primarily on the earlier work, but two paintings from the latest series are included to convey the direction of the present. In addition to the six large abstract works, there is an installation of small pieces from an ongoing project, Quest, 2005-2012.

The show runs through Nov. 4. For more information and images, please visit theoganzstudio.com.

Theo Ganz Studio is a commercial gallery of contemporary art and design located at 149 Main St. in Beacon. The hours are Friday through Sunday, 11 a.m to  6 p.m. For further information, call 917-318-2239.
