A message from Gordon Stewart, publisher, Philipstown.info / The Paper:
I first heard and met Pete when I was around age 11. He affected my life as he did millions of others. When I learned he had died, the piece from Messiah, ‘He Shall Feed His Flock Like a Shepherd’ immediately came to mind. It’s what Pete certainly did every day and night of his life for human beings everywhere in the world. We few fortunate to live along the river he cared for (as though he had been sent here to save it) have special reason to be grateful, and saddened.
