The Iranian film, Jodaeiye Nader Az Simin (Separation) will be shown at the Howland Public Library, 313 Main St., Beacon, on Friday, March 28, at 7 p.m. in the Community Room. Door opens at 6:30 p.m. In this film a married couple is faced with a heartbreaking decision – whether to look after a parent with Alzheimer’s disease or to leave the country to give their child a bright future. The film is Rated PG-13.

The Howland Public Library shows a different international film each month. Refreshments always include a delicious, culturally-matching dessert, made by Library Assistant, Ai-Ping Ma. This month’s film will be shown in Persian with English subtitles. Admission and refreshments are free.
