Official state fish on display

The Hudson Highlands Nature Museum in Cornwall will hold its annual Trout Weekend from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 2 and Sunday, April 3. The focus of the event is the official state fish, the brook trout. “Brook trout survive in only the coldest and cleanest waters and can serve as environmental indicators,” explained Emily Nestlerode, manager of the museum’s Wildlife Education Center.
