Debuted namesake composition at Garrison site in 2014

Ben Neill’s return performance at Manitoga, scheduled for Oct. 1, has been postponed due to weather to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30. He will perform Manitoga, a composition for brass quintet and electronics that draws upon influences as varied as the Native American spiritual connection to nature, the region’s Revolutionary War history of battle cries and bugle calls and Mahler’s use of the horn call as a pastorale.
