Cold Spring’s Community Day took over Dockside Park on Saturday (June 21), the first day of summer, and the hot, humid weather verified what the calendar was saying.

A cold brew went down very well, whether coffee or beer. A Hudson River breeze was just as welcome, especially after being dunked. Food trucks served up delicious offerings. The popcorn popped. Six bands donated their musical talents, toes tapping to the music.

Not bothered by the heat, kids romped in jump castles, climbed up and slid down inflatable slides, and painted stones. Adults, cooled by handheld fans, sat and relaxed. Neighbors got reacquainted with their neighbors. Local nonprofits and first responders strutted their stuff. Summer 2025 was officially underway.
