One reply on “July 4th Community Day”

  1. I’d like to send my sincerest thanks to Mayor Gallagher, Deputy Mayor Bruce Campbell, the other Village Trustees and all those who contributed to making Community Day such a wonderful celebration of our nation’s birthday. From the kick-off parade to the music in the air through out the day, our 4th of July celebration was nothing but fun and enjoyable.

I loved the creativity shown by local kids in the bike decorating contest, the GAC float honoring our river heritage, the young musicians and those who set up booths to show and offer their wares at the riverfront.

Participating in the day’s festivities both as a resident and as a Main St. business owner was uplifting and gratifying in more ways than I can list. Suffice it to say, my connection to this community, those who share it, my country and heritage was deepened and strengthened, and for that I am enormously grateful.

PS-Many thanks to all the highway department workers who kept our village clean and beautiful throughout the day and cleaned up afterward-dedicated heroes to the end.
