Work located west of railroad tracks

In a continuing effort to identify and correct sources of Inflow and Infiltration (I&I) of Storm and Groundwater into the sanitary sewer collection mains, the Cold Spring Wastewater Department will be working in the streets west of the railroad tracks this week.

Beginning this morning, equipment from local vendor Fred A. Cook, Jr., will be working to clean and then perform video inspection of the mains in that area. From that detailed inspection report, a determination of corrective actions needed will follow. “Hopefully, other than some noise from the rigs and a slight traffic diversion around them, residents should not be inconvenienced,” stated Water & Sewer Superintendent Greg Phillips. The work should be concluded by Thursday, April 12th.
