On Friday, Sept. 25, at 7:30 p.m., Movies That Matter Beacon will screen The Last Mountain, a 2011 documentary on the devastation of mountaintop mining in Appalachia.

Movies That Matter Beacon takes place on the last Friday of each month at the First Presbyterian Church of Beacon, 50 Liberty St. The series focuses on documentaries that address pertinent issues of our times, with emphasis on climate change, economic inequality, racial justice, and political protest in the interest of educating for action.
