Mendelssohn, Bartók and Dvorak on play list

On Sunday, Oct. 2, at 2 p.m., the Escher String Quartet from New York City will perform at the Howland Cultural Center as part of the Howland Chamber Music series. The group, formed in 2005, will play Mendelssohn’s String Quartet in D Major, Op. 44 No. 1, Bartók’s String Quartet No. 2 and Dvorak’s String Quartet in G Major, Op. 106, followed by a reception.
