State had closed Putnam office
After county officials and U.S. Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney appealed to the governor’s office, the state Division of Veterans’ Affairs agreed to re-open its Putnam County branch in Carmel, which it had closed in May because of budget cuts.
The office is open Monday and Friday by appointment. Call 888-838-7697.
