About 30 alumni of the Haldane baseball Blue Devils met in a fun-filled softball game at Mayor’s Park on Saturday May 5 to raise money for the current team. More than $1,000 was raised. Organizers praised the the sponsors: David Maroney Construction; Steve Burke Electric; McGuire’s-on-Main; Monteleone Construction and Garrison Tree Service. Players adjourned to McGuire’s afterwards to recover and enjoy a cold brew. At least one player was overheard saying “The older I get – the better I was!”
