The visual and dramatic arts will converge at the Steamer Company Firehouse on Saturday, Oct. 19, when selected works of art by members of the Ossining Arts Council (OAC) come to life in a production titled Living Art Event.

This is a creative endeavor between the OAC and the Westchester Collaborative Theater (WCT), which has commissioned original plays inspired by artworks from the recent OAC annual members’ show. A docent will guide gallery tours and WCT actors will perform one-act plays. No one in the audience will know which of the paintings will be dramatized … until it happens.

The event takes place on the 2nd floor of the Steamer Firehouse, 117 Main St., Ossining. There will be four one-hour tours throughout the day. The final tour will culminate with a meet-the-artists-and-performers reception at 5:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

Tickets are $15 for docent-led tours and $25 for a tour and reception. Tickets may be purchased at ossiningartscouncil.org or wctheater.org.
