Ages 5 and up welcome to view Christmas classic

The Chapel Restoration’s Classic Films for Children series is back with a special showing of the holiday classic Miracle on 34th Street. The original 1947 version starring Maureen O’Hara, John Payne and a young Natalie Wood tells the story of a department store Santa Claus who just might be the real thing. When Santa is shipped off to an insane asylum, a young lawyer comes to his defense.

The series benefits the Chapel Restoration (there is a $5 suggested donation) and is funded by a grant from local resident Rachael Watman of the James Hartford Foundation.

Miracle on 34th Street will show at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 12, at the Chapel Restoration, 45 Market St. in Cold Spring. The film is 96 minutes long. Children ages 5 and up are welcome; no babies, please.
