Cornell Cooperative Extension program Sept. 9

A new workshop is scheduled to look at the gap between web, email and social media in the context of content marketing and how to use it as an engine that will carry a not-for-profit organization (NPO) mission further.

Although maintaining a social media presence is a must-have today, according to a study by the Case Foundation, while 97 percent of nonprofits are on Facebook, that same study reveals the NPOs still list their websites and email outreach as their most important tools.

The Putnam Community Service Network (PCSN), an educational program of Cornell Cooperative Extension, will conduct a program to explain content marketing, basic Google analytics and available resources. The program will be beneficial to anyone involved in marketing and communications, COOs and executive directors.

The workshop is offered for a $30 fee on Wednesday, Sept. 9, at the Putnam County Bureau of Emergency Services Training and Operations Center, 112 Old Route 6 in Carmel.
