Open to adults who have lost mothers to cancer

Support Connection has launched an open discussion group for men and women who have lost their mothers to breast, ovarian or gynecological cancer to connect with others who have experienced this loss, share memories and discuss coping strategies. “Connecting Through Love and Loss” will meet for the first time from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15 at the Support Connection office at 40 Triangle Center, Suite 100, in Yorktown Heights.

The support group is free, but advance registration is required. Phone 914-962-6402 and ask to speak to a peer counselor. The pilot program is sponsored by the DeIeso family in memory of Karen DeIeso.
