The Lakeland Education Foundation has announced a total of $16,902 in grants for its fall 2011 grant cycle. Created in 1994, the Foundation has now awarded more than $413,000 to help enhance the educational experience of students in the district. The fall 2011 grant recipients include:
Presenting Science Research
Submitted by Patricia Viggiano on behalf of Walter Panas and Lakeland high schools to construct science competition presentation boards. Ultra Violet Light Exploration and the Scientific Method submitted by Judy Toledano of Lakeland Copper Beech Middle School. The grant will be used to fund materials and equipment for science experiments.
